  I honestly have never had any desire whatsoever to smoke anything -- and not because of my JW upbringing. I just don't like it.

  However, I wouldn't mind trying a hash brownie at some point in the future. . .

  recently i had someone contact me on facebook, thanking me for helping her awaken from indoctrination.. i am always interested in finding out the mechanisms behind people "awakening," so i asked her what i had done to make a difference.

  it turned out i had left a complimentary remark on one of her youtube videos (she was singing a kingdom song) and she learned ttatt after clicking on my name and seeing the so-called apostate videos on my channel.. i don't think it was any of my own videos she ended up watching - from what she described it sounded like someone else's video that i had "liked.

  " nonetheless, it was enough for her to become inquisitive and start exploring, and before she knew it she was free from mind control.. the moral of the story?

  Death

  when i was a dub i was petrified of displeasing the trademark imaginary god that the wbt$ had invented.

  i feared that kind of death.. the thought of being unconscious totally forevermore seems so weird.. now that i know the wbt$ was lying (as usual), and i realise there can't possibly be a god as described in religion i am now faced with the reality that i'll be dead and gone with nothing to carry me on after in a conscious way.

  just because i don't want this to happen doesn't mean it won't.. oh, darn!

  I don't think it was ever death I feared. It was injustice.

  I feared that my worldly father who was good to me would die in Armageddon, while my shithead JW mother would be rewarded for her abuse with everlasting life.

  Now that I know my father will die of old age, it's a sad thought, but not scary.

  My fear really wasn't about his death, but about what a terrible injustice could have possibly played out at the hands of my "loving" JW god.

  My own mortality really never bothered me. There are even times I think I could use the rest!

  My 2 cents on the name: it's fine.

  Do I think I would have picked that name? Probably not, but whatever.

  When you think about it, there are two groups of people on planet earth looking at this name:

  1) The 99.9% of people on the outside who are already pretty much anti-Watchtower anyway! Stop ringing my doorbell and pushing your cheesy 16 page "magazine" with bad cult cover art! Get away from us! Help us AAWA!!! [the AAWA "bat signal" goes up over lower Manhattan]

  and

  2) The .1% of Jehovah's witnesses inside, who would run hysterically from AAWA even you renamed it "We Have The Warm Fuzzies For Watchtower" (WHTWFFW). It is a Satanic, evil apostate organization no matter what it's called.

  The name won't be as important as what it actually accomplishes.

  MINIMUS- perhaps I was being a bit "cheeky" in my post, but yes, if the only reason I am keeping my job is for healthcare, then I'll take Obamacare and go to school. Hell, no matter what, I'm going to take the buyout (from my company) in a couple years and go to school FT regardless of whether Obamacare exists or not. Healthcare should not be a privilege in a first-world country.
